The KY Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Program began in February 2008, and has been providing educational workshops on human trafficking and identifying and serving victims of trafficking statewide. We’ve developed a statistics sheet about the types of trafficking seen in Kentucky, which can be used for trainings and the media. These statistics are updated quarterly.
HB350 (The Human Trafficking Victims Rights Act) was passed by the KY House of Representatives on March 2, 2012. The bill has been sent to the Senate, and will next need to be heard and voted on by the Senate Judiciary Committee before being sent to the Senate floor for a vote. Please contact your senator(s) and advocate their support of this very important bill. A one-page talking points/fact sheet as well as the entire content of the bill are both posted below.
